Clock stops

My computer is very nice and environmentally friendly. When unused
for a while, the disks and monitor power down. This is an ordinary
workstation, not a laptop or portable.
When left like this overnight, it wakes up fine with the first
keystroke - except that the OS clock has stopped.
Is there any way to fix this (besides disabling the power-saving
features).
