Please try and include an inter-semester break between opening a new
kernel and a code freeze. The worst case is university systems with
two semesters of 12 - 18 weeks with at least a month's break between
the semesters.

This implies at least five months before a code freeze.

Both teaching staff and students have much more time to devote to
Linux outside of the official learning periods.
