Hi !

hope this is not offtopic for here...

Kernel 2.2.13 running in 4MB RAM gives me Bus Errors that don't
kill the box but make it more or less unusable . The problem
is load independant , that is bus-errors will occure after booting
it without any real load on the system . If I put 8MB-RAM in the box
( + 4RAM-DISK ) the problem goes away and even with heavy load no bus
errors occure. since this error occures with ALL applications I guess its
not a problem of the applications or the libs but a memory management
problem.

this is the output of /proc/meminfo wherby 4MB ar a RAM-DISK (in which
Linux is running , no harddisk on this system -> no swap ) there seems
to plenty of memory free , and this will not change when bus errors occure.

Any ideas what is going on , or where to start looking for the problem ?
