I have a HP Cdwriter (8100) and a Goldstar Cdrom the two on my secondary IDE
(HP master and the CD slave) during the probing of SCSI device the kernel
recogniseup to 4 devices (sr0, sr1,sr2,sr4) after I have many hexadicimal
message and the kernel freeze with all 2.1.x kernel that I try. But with 2.0.35
everything work fine.

I try to disconnect the CDROM and the CDWRITE and connect just one device.
But I have the same problem. And in 2.0.35 everything work fine.

The problem is only there with the scsi emulation but I need it to uses
xcdroast.

Anybody have any idea about that?

PS: I have Redhat 5.1 and currently I use kernel 2.1.129 pre 5. My chipset is
Intel BX.

Thanks,
