I just ran the stuff thinking ``I'm not root, it's going to be OK''.
As the X server died I realized I'd screwed up. This is why I have
a DEC vt320 terminal on my Alphastation (OpenBSD); so I can telnet
in to reboot Linux. I wish I could reset my Matrox Mill2 like I
could my old Trio64V+... :(

That's like telling a child not to touch something because it
is hot. You have to burn your fingers before you ``know'' what
hot means... :)
