I would imagine that no one has bothered to file a bug report yet - if you
check the support newsgroups hosted by StarDivision, you'd find a large
number of people who have a S3 ViRGE reporting these lockups.

Also, XFree 3.3.3 has been released, so the bug might already be fixed,
although I haven't tried the new server.

P.S.: I was the person who starting this whole S3 ViRGE thing anyway,
after I mentioned problems with SO5 locking up on my S3 ViRGE, and Alan
Cox responded with a tip to use the SVGA server. Sorry...
