using netscape gold (3.01) for Linux on RH5.1 (still need gnumalloc?)

This may sound silly, but I have decided to step backward from Communicator
to netscape 3.01. Does anyone know how the gnumalloc.so has been resolved
in RH5.1? do I still have to find and preload it before I run netscape3.01?

True that there are many hostile applets that may bring my system down
(and ns4.5 is the safest browder in the world - IE is buggy too), but it's
the least of my concern since I'm going to disable appleting(?) stuffs.
