ne2k-pci problems

ok, i'm using a RealTek 8029 NIC, and it's working just fine in k2.0.34
and now k2.0.35, BUT when i tried using k2.1.120, 121, 122, 124, and
125, it doesn't work... compiles ok (it's compiled into the kernel,
rather than a module), but when i try to ping something, or connect to
anything via netscape or licq, it says that there is no known path to
the server i'm trying to access... i assume all the netconf stuff is
correct, since it works fine in k2.0.3x, so what could be wrong? i am
running RedHat 5.1 on a i386 architecture, if that makes any
difference...

also, how do i get rid of the annoying "cannot find module net-pf-3",
"cannot find module net-pf-4", and "cannot find module net-pf-5" errors
on boot and shutdown?
