Maybe that is the only one you know of but there are actually many,
as well as several newsreaders that can read mail, and mail readers
that have newsreader-like functionality.

I wouldn't be able to keep up with this or many other mailing lists
without the aggressive adaptive scoring of Gnus. I use it for mailing
lists more than I use it for news.
