Hello,

I've been having problems booting the 2.1.12x series on Avanti
AlphaStation using SRM. I am building with TGA framebuffer support, using
the egcs-1.1 release. Immediately as the kernel boots, the display is
trashed** and then unit is hung solidly (no keyboard LEDs, etc). I will
try with serial console this weekend to see what the last message output
is. Just wondering though if anyone has seen this problem, or if perhaps
it is something unique to my setup. My adapter is DEC 21030 ZLXp-E2.

** Description of "trashed" :) The display looks like a driving sleet,
frozen in time. I imagine the white "driving sleet" is characters at a
hard slant and jumbled. It is reminiscent of overtuning the vertical sync
on my old fixed-freq Sun monitor.

thanks,
-bp
