2.1.115/2.1.116 umount SMP-returns/UP-hangs -> amd

As suggested, the hang was due to the amd running. I disabled it and now
things work fine. Funny how the SMP kernel doesn't hang but the UP one
does. Thanks to all who replied to my message.

BTW - This still happens for 2.1.116 for amd 5.2.103.
