I've two SCSI problems (with each kernel I tried from 1.2.xx to
2.0.xx), maybe one of you knows some solutions or fixes.
__1__
Whenever I try to access a WRONG / CORRUPT CDROM (for instance by
trying to mount an audio cd in my CDROM drive) the whole systems
stops responding for a while (even users logged in over a serial line
can't do anything anymore).
After just about 20 seconds the systems is responding again (the
mount command failed and the prompt has returned).
I guess this is some sort of problem in the SCSI driver.
__2__
I'm absolutely unable to play audio CD's. The audio-play
software is not able to detect a CD in the drive. NOTE this also will
not work under Windows 95 but it works under DOS :-(.
I think an Adaptec 1505/1515 and NEC SCSI is a wrong
combination.
Can someone please help me with this?
System:
P150+ (Cyrix), 32 Mb RAM
Adaptec 1505
Nec SCSI CDROM Double Speed
EIDE Harddisks
Kind Regards,
