I'd like one too. Once it starts happening, system load
seems to cause more of them but that doesn't seem to be
enough to get it started.

I tried doing a make -j on a kernel to provoke it. My system
went into swapping death (thrashing the hard disk etc) and
then after a while died completely - hard disk access
stopped but it wouldn't respond to anything. I forgot to try
pinging it remotely to see if the networking was alive, but
caps lock etc weren't working so I doubt that networking
would have been.

Bill, should I apply that other patch you posted?
