I have the following setup:

Dual 400Mhz pII/Intel N440BX Mainboard / 256M

I'm running linux 2.0.34/SMP with hfs installed as a module.

I have been geting quite a few crashes lately while doing backups to a
scsi tapedrive (EXABYTE 8505) using st as a module.

On the 6th I got the following:
Jul 6 17:27:04 jaque kernel: Ooops. page 0a9ef000 doesn't show on
freelist.
Jul 6 17:27:04 jaque kernel: Ooops. page 0ab48000 doesn't show on
freelist.
Jul 6 17:27:29 jaque kernel: Ooops. page 0c1b7000 doesn't show on

Jul 6 18:09:58 jaque kernel: kfree of non-kmalloced memory: 01619a98,

Jul 6 18:09:58 jaque kernel: Ooops. page 0a5d8000 doesn't show on
freelist.
Jul 6 18:09:58 jaque kernel: Ooops. page 0a49f000 doesn't show on
freelist.
Jul 6 18:09:58 jaque kernel: Ooops. page 0af08000 doesn't show on
freelist.

and eventually:
Jul 6 19:46:21 jaque kernel: kfree of non-kmalloced memory: 0dedc018,
next= 0ca46043, order=2
Jul 6 19:46:21 jaque kernel: kfree of non-kmalloced memory: 0dedc118,

Jul 6 19:47:10 jaque portmap[101]: CALLIT (prog 100004): fork: Out of

And Finally, I had to hit the reset button.. and 1.5hrs later (after
fsck'n 36Gigs) it came back up..

So, yet another problem showed up this am..

followed by a few more GPF's..

And yet another reset.

Is this due to SMP and 2.0.34? I had no problems with 2.0.34 in non SMP
mode.. except for the hfs module acting up on occation.

Let me know if you need more,
Walt Bigelow
