After applying the patch found in geert-2.1.107.diff.gz, the kernel boots
fine. But now I experience a large amount of screen flicker during scrolls
(ala scrolling in pine) and in every flavor of ircii I have got my hands
on. IMHO that is an unacceptable side effect of this new code. But, I do
see some speed increases. Good work :)
