Yeah, but 2.1.90 is old. I'd say, though, check and make sure you have a
recent binutils (2.9.1.0.6 is the latest, and I've not heard any
complaints on it). I know in one of the 2.1.9x kernels, there was another
file with a known-bad assembly line, but that's definitely not it
(locks.S). Update your binutils (and check Documentation/Changes - make
sure your box is up to date enough), then try again.
