SCSI lockups in 2.1.10x fixed.

As reported before, xcdroast used to occasionally hang the machine when
started, just before the string of "can't locate module ..." that it triggers.
(Intel SMP, Adaptec AHA 2940UW)

Just now, with 2.1.103, a similar thing happened, except that this time it
recovered shortly afterwards, complaining:
