How many times am I logged in?

For the last week or so, my Linux box seems to be acting up.
A 'w' tells me that I am logged in through XWindows 6 times,
but I've only got 2 xterms open.

I have rebooted the machine (after *exactly* 100 days of consecutive
uptime!), but the problem persists.

I am running Slackware with kernel revision 2.0.33,

Any ideas?
