2.1.96: compile error on FPU emulation

Here's what happens when I try to compile floating point emulation on
2.1.96 with EGCS:

egcc -D__KERNEL__ -I/usr/src/linux/include -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -O2
-fomit-
frame-pointer -pipe -m386 -DCPU=386 -DPARANOID -fno-builtin -DPARANOID
-fno-b uiltin -c -o fpu_entry.o fpu_entry.c
fpu_entry.c: In function `math_emulate':
fpu_entry.c:193: arithmetic on pointer to an incomplete type
fpu_entry.c:193: dereferencing pointer to incomplete type
make[2]: *** [fpu_entry.o] Error 1
