Well, maybe I'm rather dumb, but I still don't understand what's so special
with the bootup SCSI controler that it has to be handled differently.
OK, let's try this again. Here I am presented with a collection of PCI
BusLogic SCSI host adapters in some arbitrary order. How do I pick the correct
one to be the "first" host adapter, which Linux will assign /dev/sda to?
