Welcome to the development community! In regards to your question.....your
memory problem is directly related to the memory management issue of the
development kernels....2.1.89 was a big problem...at least on my machine as
well as some others from what I have seen...it all deals with how the kernel
is caching memory.....it creates this huge cache and once and a while it will
start swapping and your HD just spins disabling some more intensive
apps....the 2.1.90 kernel has fixed my problems.....it seems fine....but
2.1.89 was a disaster.....
