I have just had reason to install Linux onto a DEC pentium with an EISA
Adaptec 2742.

Slackware/Debian root/boot disks NFG.

Tried 2.0.33 kernel - same. Complained about tring to register interrupt
0 :-(

Used aic7xxx-5.0.1 - New kernel now boots :-)

Thank you......

Now to get this kernel onto a slackware boot/root install disk set ....
