fsck/fs corruption

I recently had some filesytem corruption due to a user running a superfork
on my system. The result of the reboot was a directory in /tmp with
garbage. Unfortunately, some of the filenames became longer than 1024
chars, and are unremoveable. Can we update FSCK or something else to aid in
recovery ?
