where is memory.memtop ?

Hi,
I am trying to analyze some errors, particularly one which prints

free(8060008) above top of memory.memtop = 8070000 membot = 8063f18.

Anyone know which routines handle the strings
memory.memtop
and
membot

I have not been able to find them in the kernel sources.
