oops in 2.0.30 with 686

I don't know if this has been noted before, but we have several Gateway
P6-200's running Redhat 4.2 and they are quite flakey.

One is ide, has 64 Meg RAM, 128Meg swap and gives (with almost nothing
running) frequent segfaults.

Here is what happened with one of them.
free(8060008) above top of memory.memtop = 806f800 membot = 8063f18

this is with

newhouse@solid [41] free
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 63320 35196 28124 8256 6352 22816
-/+ buffers: 6028 57292
Swap: 130748 128 130620

The rlogin connections frequently bomb out and just close.

Happens on both a machine with scsi and one with ide drives.

Is there anything I can do to search out more information with this
problem?

I should note that all my interaction with the machines are using
rlogins.
