Hi!

I know it's off-topic. But I can't find any other place as good
to ask about this.

My chief told me to make out the report about hardware configuration
for high-performance but low-cost server. Of course, the OS is Linux.
It would be great help for me if you give the information about the most
stable hardware configuration for linux kernel 2.0.xx.

We consider both Pentium class and PPro class. And both EIDE and SCSI.
So we consider 4 kind of system, Pentium with EIDE and with SCSI,
and PPro with EIDE and with SCSI.

The server will be used as e-mail, web, and DB server.

I want to know full configuration. Mother board, network card,
video card, SCSI host adapter, which kind of RAM, amount of RAM, CD-ROM
drive, and hard disk (both model and size).

I'm waiting for your oppinion. Thank you.
