Yeah, I knocked up an unofficial 3c59x.c driver a while back, after
experiencing hideous troubles myself. It does indeed appear to be rock
solid here, over many months of testing (ie. not a single hang or crash on
the network interface or card in that time).

The downside to my version is that it is based off a version not
supporting all the juicy features of the newer boards.

Note, however, that a v0.45 has appeared on Donald Becker's page. He's a
hard man to keep up with; kernel2.0.31pre9 has version v0.43 :-)
