EtherExpress Pro driver, for 2.0.30?

I have an NFS-root system that is exhibiting some problems, and I was
wondering if anyone was using the EtherExpress Pro on 2.0.30.. or if its
only available in the 2.1.x series (marked as an experimental driver)

Does anyone have a patch for it to work in the stable kernel series, and
more specifically has anyone encountered any network problems with the
driver in general?

Also if someone can point me to the latest server and client NFS code
perhaps that will solve things for me. I know there were some changes
recently in 2.1.4x, so a pointer to the latest user mode software would be
helpful.
