It currently uses 22 MBytes for buffers. That's way too low. -29 used 40%
to 50% or so, and managed to process 300+ articles/minute instead of 120.

That server is currently running pre-2 plus Matthias. ;-)
I'll try Gerard's patch tonight to see if it'll make any difference.
I sure hope so...
