I found out, that I can't kill processes, that are in disk sleeping
state. I tried everything, but they still hanging. They claimed remote
(samba) filesystems, and won't to terminate, even after I had turned off
w95, that shared the fs.
This processes are a couple of ls and the same quantity of bashes. Xload
shows extrememly intensive fs activity, xsysinfo is going mad on "CPU Load
Avg", but "CPU Load" is almost at zero. BTW, all ls processes have init
parent, God knows why.
More than that, after first "stuck" attempts to access other samba fs ( An hour
before everything was OK!) drives to the same situation. So, I can't unmount
them for remounting or smth.
kernel=[2.1.42], no SMP. I never had problems with samba fs earlier.
strace shows:
stat(".", {st_mode=S_IFDIR|0755, st_size=512, ...}) = 0
open(".", O_RDONLY) = 3
fcntl(3, F_SETFD, FD_CLOEXEC) = 0
getdents(3, <unfinished ...>
where "." is the root of mounted fs.
The question is how I can ( if I can :) eliminate this devils ? I'll leave
them for awhile just for experiment...
