So who here who reads this list is a Linux end-user CD-ROM distributor?
Have we heard from Linux distributors (caldera, Red Hat, Pat Volkjerding
(excuse my spelling if I'm wrong!) about their needs for
binary/installation conveniences?
Largely off topic,...
Could we/should we use RCS/SCCS type tools to enable end users to manage
kernel sources? If you could pull out particular areas of the kernel
sources to create a leaner meaner kernel, or put in particular parts of the
kernel sources to create a bigger-feature-rich kernel (outside of the use
of traditional modules) by applying a kernel "sub"-version, would it be
more of an advantage than the trouble it would cause to implement it?
