2.0.0 hung

I am running Red Hat 3.0.3, all the newest packages (modules, etc). Today
for the first time in MONTHS Linux totally hung. I opened up xmmix, the
speakers popped (which is normal when the sound card is initialized). THen
X froze and nothing would work. Caps lock wouldn't come on, 3 finger
salute didn't work, nothing. A totally locked system. No errors in the
system logs either.

However, since then I can open xmmix with no problems. This is with a
sound blaster AWE 32, and everything as modules. Kerneld 2.0.0, too.

Has anyone else had this happen?
