along the same tangent...I installed ppp 2.2b2 and patched the kernel,
but got extremely slow throughput (around the order of 500-600 cps over a
26.4k connect). I have now switched back to the old pppd from the 2.1.2d
package, and removed the 2.2 patches from the kernel, and am hapilly
modeming at 2400-2600 cps again. What gives?
