Okay, I just wanted to add that I've just verified that this problem
also occurs in 2.6.27 and 2.6.28-rc5.  I did not try 2.6.27.6 as there
are no changes in aic79xx driver between 2.6.27 and 2.6.27.6.  

Any thoughts?
