Hi all people,

After having a new kernel installed (linux-2.3.99-pre 6) on RH 6.2,
following problems were discovered

1) During re-starting the new kernel, following warnings pop-up

- Loading sound modules (emu10.k1), modprobe can't locate module [failed]
- Starting NFS locked: lockdsve invalid argument [failed]

(during installation sound was not selected.

Sound card : Creative Live value
I have no idea whether this new kernel supports this sound card)

2) Power Down (Power off)
The old kernel supports this feature but the new kernel can't. I made
following changes to /etc/rc.d/init.d/halt

Changed

command="halt" to

command="poweroff"

re-boot the machine but power still not off automatically in exiting Linux.

Kindly shed me some light how to rectify the abovementioned mistakes.
Thanks in advance

B.R.
Stephen
