I have an "old" laptop, with integrated ESS ?1671? 100% SB compatibile (ISA?)
sound card. (it's a i586 150Mhz, 16 mb ram,...named portocom made in taiwan..)
The sound worked well, while using kernel 2.0.38, I used the sb.o driver.
Now using the same driver, the kernel does not autodetect the card.
It is at 0x220 irq7 dma1.
probing by hand, adding these params, the modul comes up,
but the mpg123 0.59 plays the mp3s at half speed, saying that there is junk at
the beginning. (With the other kernel, it plays mp3s well.)
So what should I do?
