2.4.0-test1-ac9: SUCCESS with Xircom RBEM56G100 Cardbus modem

I *knew* it would have happened sooner or later... I am still using a
 modified /etc/rc.d/init.d/pcmcia script which works around cardmgr (3.1.16
 snapshot of June 5) longstanding problem with the /var/state/pcmcia/stab
 file, and oddly the modem is found under /dev/ttyS4 instead of /dev/ttyS1
 (which happens under 2.2.15), but it WORKS !!! I am writing my first email
 connected to my PPP link with a post-2.2 kernel since 2.3.35 !!!
