Hi,
I decided to download and test 2.4, and I came across an odd problem.
I **don't need a fix** for this, I just thought it should be looked at for the
final release,
as it could pose a problem. If there is anything I can do to narrow down the
fault,
let me know.
My configuration is :
PII-400
Voodoo3 3000
sblive value
3com 3c59x vortex
gigabyte ga6bxds m/board
when I boot 2.4 everything is fine, then I load modules for everything, fine.
but then the 3com card either stops working or drops down to 10Meg.
this happens after about 20 minutes, using heavy ftp load, via a 100Meg
crossover cable to another
linux box running 2.2.5 with an eepro100.
twice out of the ten times I tried to remove and reinsert the module 3c59x it
started working again, but only
at 10 meg.
all of this works fine under 2.2.14 , so there isn't any hardware problems.
Also, I get no errors anywhere.
