FYI, If I could have it be strictly an ADD-ON card, every one would
benefit with the extra IRQ. Then I could change the rules even more.

FYI: SCSI is "soldered in standard" on several servers.
As far as Microsoft goes, the miniport interface is the only way to keep
their closed source. If the hardware folks quit writing drives for
MircoSoft it would die on its own accord.

FYI: about 90% of all data in Linux pumps through ATA, like it or not.
My goal is to make it better for those who have to and/or chose to use it.
I do not force anyone to use ATA, it is their choice just like yours to
use SCSI.
