practice and work full-time at home without the need to work with
recruiters. It's pretty easy: put up a web page and work to keep up
your visibility.
When I get around to it I'll put up a third page telling employers how
to find good employees and consultants without using recruiters. The
short answer is: use a search engine and contact the prospects directly,
they'll respect you much more if they get a call from a real person
who's actually read their resume and not some headhunter who just
matched on a keyword.
