This kind of thing in the past has been caused by differences in glibc
headers over different versions of glibc, but my usual test of booting
into RH5.x for this hasn't picked it up.

What distro & version are you using, and what version of glibc does it
have? (if it's rpm based, do rpm -q glibc).

Also, it may be an idea to discuss this on the netfilter list (see
http://lists.samba.org/)
