This appears to be a bug in drivers/char/Config.in. I just removed the
if clause around the BTTV entry (it's dep_tristate after all), ran "make
oldconfig" and went ahead with the kernel build. Worked like a charm and
the my Hauppauge is working perfectly with the new kernel.
