Reg: Sound Card Duplex

Hi All

I have configured my linux m/c with RedHat Linux (6.1) to play sound. The
problem what I'm facing is, in one of my application I want the sound card
to play and record sound concurrently(Duplex mode). To make my soundcard
duplex, is there any drivers.

To test the duplex cpability I have done the following process.

        1. In one shell I executed the following command
                $rec raj.wav
        2. In another shell
$play xyz.wav (It can be any Sound file *.au,*.wav)

The result of the second command is an error
        like:
sox: Can't open output file '/dev/dsp': Device or resource busy

I too understand that its taking same device for play and rec.
But Mic In and Spk out of the sound cards are different, is there any way to
configure any other device for Mic In like /dev/mic or something.

        Expecting reply at the earliest.
