I'll send another request to hpa to update
Documentation/devices.txt. He doesn't seem to
update it very often.

USB mice are now (don't know which pre-X-Y exactly) on 13, 32+. This is
the last change and they're going to stay there. This was after some
discussion with H. Peter Anvin. devices.txt is going to be updated soon
by him. I have already sent patches to Randy Dunlap, the USB maintainer,
to update hid.txt to the new numbers as well.

So, both your problems should be fixed either by now or relatively soon.
