pre4-2: USB mouse inconsistency/not working

OK, here's the short problem: Documentation/devices.txt shows that USB
mouse devices should be char 180, 16+, but Documentation/usb/hid.txt says
that it should be 10, 32+, so something has to be updated.

Here's the other problem - I had my USB mouse working fine in Redhat 6.1
with kernel 2.3.99-pre4-2, but after upgrading to RH 6.2, I get
mouse0: No such device
when trying to access /dev/usb/mouse0, as both c 180, 16 and c 10, 32.
Everything else seems to be working fine under RH 6.2 & pre4-2 (bttv
hasn't frozen my system yet), so I'm wondering if anyone would know what
would cause this.
