hey i hope someone can help me with my seemingly silly problem. trying to
compile a 2.3 kernel (have tried all from .30 to .39) i get this error:

> i am thinking this is a problem with my distribution - i dont run a
> distribution, i designed my own from scratch. some one pls help me, i
