Hello Alan,

the prerelease kernel 2.3.40-5-for-al hang on boot during it tries to
mount
the root file system with kernel panic. I didn't saw this for several
weeks.
I do not get any log or useful message:-(

System:
AMD Athlon 500
MSI MS-6167 Rev 1.0b (AMD IronGate C4, Viper)
