"Me too." :)
It seems to be SMP related and independent of SCSI/IDE. See
the "unaccessible files (SMP) with 2.3.35pre6" thread.
I have reproduced it twice with vanilla 2.3.34...perhaps something in
pre6 makes it show up more often.
