RE: No boot for append>99M in lilo in kernel 2.2.13

Have you tried turning ACPI off in you BIOS? ACPI is not supported in 2.2,
and it is conceivable that the BIOS is trying to reserve some memory that is
being clobbered with the 100M thing.

I just scanned the lilo source, and I see no reason for there to be a
problem with 100M vs 99M in the command line.

Have you tried typing mem=100M on the command line instead of using the
append= parameter in /etc/lilo.conf?

No boot for append>99M in lilo in kernel 2.2.13

PC freezes on boot with kernel 2.2.13. As its a compaq pc its necessary to
put the line append="mem=112M" in lilo.conf to make it see more than 16M.
This leads to freeze, if mem written is greater than 99M- append="mem=100M"
freezes, append="mem=99M" works. Compaq Prosignia 300- Bios E15 8/17/99.
This is new for kernel 2.2.13, 2.2.12 works without that behavior.

memory, compaq lilo.conf mem=xxxM
