I'm running Linux 2.2.13pre14 (SMP, with the latest RAID patches).
I get the same messages running 2.0.37 UP, also with RAID patches)

Is this a hard drive going away?

It is a WD ENTERPRISE drive, buslogic 952 controller. It is part of a
2 drive mirror. The other drive is identical, but no errors there.
